Abstract

In September 2017, North Sumatra NTP Province (2012 = 100) was recorded at 98.85 or decreased 0.19 percent compared to August 2017 NTP of 99.04.
The decrease in NTP in September 2017 was caused by the decrease of NTP in the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.44 percent, Horticulture subsector by 0.48 percent, Livestock subsector by 0.72 percent, and Fishery sub-sector by 0.44 percent. While NTP subsector of Smallholder Plantation Estate increased by 0.48 percent.
Changes in Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflect the rate of rural inflation / deflation. In September 2017, there was a rural inflation in North Sumatra of 0.51 percent. This was due to the increase in index in the six categories of household consumption, namely the foodstuff index by 0.96 percent, the index of the finished food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.15 percent, the housing group index by 0.24 percent, the group index clothing by 0.17 percent, the health group index by 0.44 percent, and the transportation and communication group index by 0.07 percent. While the index of education, recreation, and sports group fell by 0.10 percent
Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) of North Sumatera Province in September 2017 was 106.54 or up 0.12 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
