Abstract

In June 2017, NTP of North Sumatra Province (2012 = 100) was recorded at 99.54, up 0.47 percent compared to NTP in May 2017 of 99.07.
The increase in NTP in June 2017 was due to the increase of NTP in the Food Crops sub-sector by 0.21 percent, the Subsector of Smallholder's Estate Crops by 0.96 percent, Livestock sub-sector by 0.88 percent, and the fishery sub-sector by 0.75 percent. While the NTP subsector of Horticulture dropped by 0.94 percent.
Changes in Household Consumption Index (IKRT) reflects the rate of rural inflation / deflation. In June 2017, there was a rural deflation in North Sumatra of 0.41 percent. This is due to the decrease in household food consumption index by 1.71 percent. While the six groups of household consumption experienced an increase, namely the index of food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group by 0.12 percent, housing group index by 2.10 percent, clothing index by 0.96 percent, health group index of 0.18 Percent, the education, recreation and sports group index by 0.38 percent, and the transportation and communication group index by 0.35 percent.
Agricultural Household Trade Rate (NTUP) of North Sumatera Province in June 2017 was 105.84 or decreased 0.11 percent compared to NTUP in the previous month.
