Abstract

In March 2017, the level of inequality of population expenditure of North Sumatra as measured by Gini Ratio Was recorded at 0.315. This figure increased by 0.003 points when compared with the Gini Ratio September 2016 which is 0.312.
Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2017 was recorded at 0.342 increase compared to Gini Ratio September 2016 which amounted to 0.333. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2017 was recorded Of 0.256 down compared to Gini Ratio September 2016 which amounted to 0.270.
In March 2017, the distribution of expenditure of the lowest 40 percent population group was 21.35 percent. This means that the population expenditure is still in the category of low level of inequality. If specified By region, in urban areas the figure was 19.57 percent and in rural areas The number is recorded at 24.20 which means both are in the category of low inequality.
