Abstract

Export value through loading port in North Sumatera in August 2017 increased compared to month July 2017, from US $ 768.19 million to US $ 895.52 million or up by 16.57 percent Similarly when compared with August 2016, North Sumatra's exports are experiencing an increase of 36.72 percent.
The largest increase in export value of North Sumatra in August 2017 against July 2017 occurs in the fat and oil classes animal / vegetable (HS 15) of US $ 67.46 million (21.24%) followed class of soap and cleanser preparation (HS 34) for US $ 9,13 million (39.89%), fruits (HS 08) amounted to US $ 5.53 million (28.02%).
Exports to China in August 2017 reached the greatest number namely US $ 129.99 million followed by the United States of US $ 100.69 million and India amounting to US $ 85.09 million with the contribution of the three reached 35.26 percent.
According to the group of export destination countries in August 2017, the Asian region (outside ASEAN) was the largest with a value of US $ 368.96 million (41.20 percent).
