Abstract

The number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatera through 3 (three) entrances in November 2016 reached 23,650 visits, an increase of 0.96 percent compared to that coming in October 2016 which reached 23,426 visits. Similarly, when compared to the same month in 2015, the number of foreign tourists in November 2016 increased by 25.06 percent, ie from 18,911 visits in November 2015 rose to 23,650 visits.

In November 2016, foreign tourists from the Malaysian state is the largest of 11,684 visits or 49.40 percent of total foreign tourists visiting in North Sumatra.

The star-rated room occupancy rate (TPK) in North Sumatera in November 2016 reached an average of 52.16 percent, down 7.37 points compared to October 2016 of 59.53 percent.

The average length of stay of foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels in November 2016 reached 1.56 days, down 0.19 points compared to October 2016.

The number of domestic passengers departing from Sumatera Utara through Kualanamu International Airport during November 2016 reached 268,084 people, down 6.87 percent compared to October 2016 which reached 287,853 people.

The number of passengers in inter-island sea transport that departed in November 2016 was recorded as many as 2,648 people, down 9.19 percent compared to the previous month as many as 2916 people.
