Intercensal Population Survey (SUPAS) is a BPS survey conducted in order to obtain data relating to population. 2015 is the fifth SUPAS SUPAS SUPAS main objective is to estimate the population, estimating demographic parameters (such as births, deaths and migration), and memperbaharuhi population projections simultaneously correcting the results of population projections from 2010 to 2035.

SUPAS 2015 gathering demographic data includes basic information of the population, the elderly, births, deaths, maternal mortality, migration, employment, housing facilities, and added information on outgoing international migration, climate change, and disability.
Implementation of field activities in 2015 SUPAS implemented a full moon in the month of May is starting on May 1 to 31 of 2015 includes Updating Domestic, Household and Enumeration Enumeration / Verification of Maternal Mortality. SUPAS implementation team in 2015 implemented. A team consists of 2 counter (counter 1 and counter 2) and 1 kortim. 1 (one) team in charge of 10 census blocks. For updating activities and household census conducted by the enumerators, while the maternal mortality verification conducted by kortim.
In Asahan alone there were 110 census block or around 1760 households in the sample (1 block census includes 16 sample households). The number of officers SUPAS 2015 in District Asahan as many as 33 people consisting of 22 persons and 11 persons kortim enumerator, which are all derived from statistical partners.

Preparation is not just about technical activities, but non-technical activities is also an important part in supporting the success of 2015. Preparation SUPAS will facilitate the implementation of SUPAS 2015 and the results will be expected better quality. Success or failure of the implementation of the 2015 SUPAS must not be separated from the initial preparation, one of which is the recruitment officer. Recruitment officer needs to be planned and implemented carefully and thoroughly because the result will greatly influence the process and performance of future activities, namely personnel training and implementation of the field. Personnel recruitment activities carried BPS Regency / City through CWC. Officers were recruited should be someone who is really willing and ready to implement SUPAS 2015.

As stated by the Head of BPS Regency Asahan, Ir. Tuti Hidayati, M.Si in the direction that the officer who had been recruited must implement the next stage which every officer candidates are tested to calculate age. If the basic capabilities in calculating the age poorly, it will be very difficult to understand the concept of counting age. Besides the calculation of age, officer candidates are also required to give the names of districts / cities in the province itself and in Indonesia, the names of the districts in the District Asahan and names of provinces in Indonesia. It is intended that personnel recruited will not experience difficulties when filling out the questionnaire. After the test against the officer candidate, then the selection of the candidates for the 2015 SUPAS officer. In his speech Asahan BPS also advised the officer candidate will to take full responsibility for the work, to avoid fraud in the collection of data and the more important that during the execution of updating and enumeration should be implemented as a team.
