ASAHAN ECONOMIC GROWTH OF 2017

Abstract

The 2017 Asahan economy compared to the previous year grew by 5.48 percent. Based on the production approach, the highest growth was achieved by the Transportation and Warehousing Business Fields of 8.79 percent. Followed by Other Services Business Fields at 7.27 percent and Business Fields for Accommodation Supply and Food Drinking at 7.04 percent.
Based on the expenditure approach, the Gross Fixed Capital Formation component reached the highest growth of 6.91 percent, followed by the Household Consumption Expenditures component of 5.75 and the Government Consumption Expenditures component of 4.27 percent.
Three business fields that give dominant role to Gross Domestic Product (GRDP) in 2017 are: Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries by 36.60 percent, Processing Industry by 23.75 percent and Wholesale and Retail Trade and Reparation of Cars and Motorbikes by 18.65 percent. Whereas in terms of expenditure, the component of Household Consumption Expenditures gave the largest contribution of 55.73 percent, following the component of exports of goods and services by 33.20 percent and the Gross Fixed Capital Formation component by 28.01 percent.
Nominally, Asahan's GRDP in 2017 based on current prices reached 32,023.19 billion rupiahs and GDP based on constant 2010 prices reached 23,525.34 billion rupiahs.
