Production Growth of Large Medium Manufacturing Industry in Sumatera Utara Province Quarter IV-2017 up by 10.83 percent (y-on-y). The average growth of Large Industry Medium Sumatera Utara During Year 2017 amounted -3.11 percent while in 2016 amounted to 4.64 percent. Meanwhile, the growth of small micro industries of Sumatera Utara during the year of 2017 amounted to 0.66 percent, while the year 2016 amounted to 10.75 percent.

Abstract

• Production growth of Large and Medium Manufacturing Industry of Sumatera Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2017 increased by 10.83 percent compared to the same period in 2016 (y-on-y). The increase was mainly due to the increased production of tobacco processing industry by 42.09 percent, paper and paper products industry 16.89 percent, and wood industry, wood and cork goods and woven goods from bamboo, rattan and the like 14, 73 percent.
• The growth of production of large and medium manufacturing industries (q-to-q) of Sumatera Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2017 decreased by 1.69 percent compared to the production of large and medium manufacturing industries in the third quarter of 2017. The types of industries declining namely the beverage industry by 25.14 percent, non-metal mining industry by 1.85 percent, and basic metal industry by 0.15 percent.
• Production growth of micro and small manufacturing industries in the fourth quarter of 2017 decreased by 1.81 percent compared to the same period in 2016 (y-on-y). The types of industries that experienced a decline include basic metal industry by 35.22 percent, the textile industry by 29.86 percent and the wood industry, goods from wood and cork and woven goods from bamboo, rattan and the like 24.62 percent.
• Production growth of micro and small manufacturing industries in the fourth quarter of 2017 increased by 2.11 percent compared to Q3 / 2017 (q-to-q). The types of industries that experienced increases were rubber, rubber and plastic goods industry by 14.73 percent, apparel industry by 10.74 percent, and pharmaceutical industry, chemical and traditional medicine products by 8.15 percent.
