2024 Area Sample Frame Survey (KSA) Asahan Regency

The Area Sample Frame Survey (KSA) is an area-based survey carried out by direct observation of sample segments and aims to estimate the area by extrapolation from the sample to the population in a relatively short period (rapid estimate). The KSA survey is one of the tasks of BPS to obtain data regarding the harvested area of ​​rice and corn crops. The KSA survey also aims to determine the development of rice and corn food crop phases, as well as as a basic reference for rice tile samples. The KSA survey sample in Asahan Regency in 2024 will consist of 62 rice commodity segments and 72 corn commodity segments. Field officers who are statistical partners recruited by BPS Asahan Regency carry out KSA Survey field enumeration activities every month for a year by visiting the rice fields or sample fields to look for observation points in each segment. Then the field officer will carry out geotaging or photo coordinates with a smartphone at the observation point.
